Course Description

OVERVIEW OF THE QUALIFICATION
This programme will be useful for those in the development and implementation of training and development plans for organisations, who conduct and analysis to determine outcomes of learning, who support skills development facilitation, who are involved in the development and implementation of training and development plans for organisations or who oversee or manage education, training and skills development within organisations according tot agreed development plans.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
It is assumed that people starting to learn towards this unit standard are competent in Communication, Mathematical Literacy and Computer Literacy at NQF Level 4.

LANGUAGE POLICY
• The language for administrative matters is English.
• Classes are conducted in English.

DURATION OF QUALIFICATION
A total of 300 notional hours are allocated to this course that comprises of classroom-based training and work-based learning.

A schedule is available for courses planned in Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town.

ACCREDITATION AND UNIT STANDARDS
Open Learning Group is an accredited provider of the ETDP SETA. Our learning content for the programme has been evaluated and approved by the SETA and similarly learners will be provided with a Statement of Results issued by the SETA and a nationally recognised certificate upon which the ETDP SETA logo is displayed.

The programme comprises of 5 unit standard that has recently been updated, namely US 15217: Develop an organisational training and development plan, US 15218: Conduct an analysis to determine outcomes of learning for skills development an other purposes, US 15227: Coordinate planned skills development interventions in an organisation, US 15228: Conduct skills development administration in an organisation, US 15232: Advise on the establishment and implementation of a quality management system for skills development practices in an organisation.

ON COMPLETION OF THE COURSE YOU WILL BE ABLE TO:
• Produce a skills development plan
• Identify skills development needs
• Conduct an analysis through the facilitation of group processes, interviews and document studies
• Coordinate education, training and skills development

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR REGISTRATION
For registration on this programme you must complete and sign an Open Learning Group Registration Form and submit this to our Head Office. Please note that you will only be registered once your venue has been confirmed and your payment received.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
Financial assistance is available to you through our partner organisation, Edu-Loan.

ASSESSMENT
You will be required to complete a Portfolio of Evidence for assessment purposes. The portfolios will be moderated by an Open Learning Group moderator and annually by an external moderator appointed by the ETDP SETA.

CERTIFICATION
After successfully being found competent by our assessors and moderators you will receive a Statement of Results issued by the ETDP SETA which confirms that your details have been uploaded to the National Learner Record Database (NLRD). As soon as your Statement of Results is available, your certificate will be printed bearing the ETDP SETA logo and then sent to you.
